Replace your air filter regularly
You may have heard this a lot, but it is important to replace air filters regularly! It keeps dust, dirt, and other airborne particulates! Filters usually only last a few months, and if you live close to freeways, big roads, or where there is more dust in the area, you will have to change the filter more frequently.

Clean dust with dust cloths
The best way to clean the dust on the system is with disposable dust cloths! This cloth can attract dust particles when the surface is dry. Do this regularly to clean the system and keep the dust off!
Use dust-repellant spray
After cleaning the system with dust cloth, it is best to wipe the system with dust-repellant spray. You can make this spray at home with just 3 ingredients. Mix 2 cups of water, 1 cup of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Spray on the cloth and wipe the surface!
Open all HVAC air vents
It is important to keep the vents open because when closed, it can create build-ups of dust in the system. Change the direction regularly. You should also remove the vents and clean with soap water to remove dust.
